Molti ingegneri cercano di evitare il pi\u00f9 possibile l&#8217;uso della non linearit\u00e0!  I modelli di materiali <strong>non lineari<\/strong> (problemi di contatto, danni) hanno acquisito la fama di essere caratteristiche difficili da controllare, di portare a risultati inaffidabili, di essere molto complessi da impostare e, cosa che a nessun ingegnere piace molto, di far s\u00ec che la simulazione <strong>NON converga<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Tuttavia, i modelli di materiali non lineari sono molto <strong>potenti<\/strong>! Possono portare a progetti molto pi\u00f9 efficienti e convenienti. A mio parere, ci sono almeno <strong>5 ottime<\/strong> <strong>ragioni per<\/strong> <strong>UTILIZZARE<\/strong> <strong>modelli di materiali non lineari<\/strong> nei calcoli ingegneristici. Si tratta di un&#8217;idea eccellente, poich\u00e9 la maggior parte dei materiali conosciuti ha un comportamento elastico lineare, almeno per deformazioni molto piccole. Quindi, si pu\u00f2 applicare la <strong>legge<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Hooke%27s_law\">di Hooke<\/a><\/strong> e molto probabilmente si pu\u00f2 sempre trovare una soluzione al problema che si sta simulando!<\/p>\n<p>Tuttavia, dopo questa prima tendenza elastica, se si continua a deformare il materiale, \u00e8 molto probabile che esso sviluppi una sorta di tendenza <strong>plastica\/inelastica<\/strong>.<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Elastic_and_plastic_strain\"><br \/>\n  <strong>anelastica<\/strong><br \/>\n  <strong> deformazione<\/strong><br \/>\n<\/a>. A questo punto le cose cambiano molto:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Innanzitutto, se si scarica la struttura, questa non avr\u00e0 la stessa forma di prima, poich\u00e9 la deformazione plastica <strong>non \u00e8 reversibile<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>In secondo luogo, il problema diventa <strong>non lineare<\/strong> e questo ha molte conseguenze! Uno dei pi\u00f9 importanti \u00e8 che il principio di <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Superposition_principle\">principio di sovrapposizione<\/a><\/strong> non \u00e8 pi\u00f9 valido. Una delle pi\u00f9 utilizzate nell&#8217;analisi agli elementi finiti \u00e8 la cosiddetta teoria della <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Flow_plasticity_theory\"><br \/>\n  <strong>teoria della plasticit\u00e0 di flusso<\/strong><br \/>\n<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Questa teoria presuppone che si possa utilizzare una <strong>regola di flusso<\/strong> per determinare la quantit\u00e0 di deformazione plastica nel materiale. Inoltre, in questa teoria dobbiamo definire una cosiddetta <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Yield_surface\"><br \/>\n  <strong>superficie di rendimento<\/strong><br \/>\n<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>La superficie di snervamento divide il <strong>dominio puramente elastico<\/strong> dal <strong>dominio elasto-plastico<\/strong> . In parole povere, questa superficie determina la resistenza allo snervamento di un materiale, ad esempio l&#8217;acciaio.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row type=&#8221;in_container&#8221;
