Imagine how it will be like to be part of a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Innovative Training Networks (ITN) European project. A selected group of international industries and universities approaching toghether a breakthrough innovative engineering project. Well, it’s not something that happens very often. And it’s really difficult to be part of it, the selection is very strict, you have to have what it takes.
We are happy to inform you that the CAEmate team is going to have the opportunity to join this unique experience and contribute to the project with the development of innovative software technologies and custom numerical simulation tools.
Before diving deep into the structure of the project, let us first firmly grasp its overall purpose. Officially, the purpose of the Innovative Training Networks (ITN) is to train highly skilled engineers, through the international collaboration of industry and academia, contribute to excellent research, boosting jobs, growth and investment by equipping researchers with the new knowledge, skills and international and intersectoral exposure to fill the top positions of tomorrow and solve current and future societal challenges.
The objective of the project is to derive new computational models for refractory materials, which will make possible for the first time to simulate in-silico their behaviour over the whole of working temperature range. These models will be a breakthrough in the design of components like refractory nozzles, plates, ladle and tundish slide gate systems, which will directly translate to energy savings, waste reduction and decreases in pollution and CO2 emission, together with safety improvements. At the end of the project, the participating engineers are awarded with the PhD title – European Industrial Doctorate (EID). The PhD title for this position is awarded by the University of Belgrade (Faculty of Mechanical Engineering).
As written at the beginning of this post, the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Innovative Training Networks (ITN) is a unique opportunity. If you are a skilled, hard working, rapidly learning engineer, wanting to be introduced to the most advanced techniques for engineering simulation and design take a look to all our open positions.
It will be our pleasure to share this awesome experience with you.
